Robert Zastre is an independent cinematographer with his home base in Vancouver. His expertise and passion for visual storytelling cemented his role as the guest cinematographer for the Acting Department at the Vancouver Film School from 2022-23. Robert's talent has been recognized by the Canadian Society of Cinematographers, having earned a coveted spot in the prestigious 2023 CSC Field of View Mentee Program as well as holding an Affiliate CSC status. Over the course of his career, Robert Zastre has collaborated with a roster of 24 directors hailing from diverse backgrounds and artistic visions.

What sets Robert apart is his ability to adapt to seamlessly to any directorial style, skillfully bringing their unique visions to life on the screen. This adaptability has become his signature strength. Throughout his professional journey, Robert’s attention to detail and his ability to capture the essence of a story through his lens have left an subconscious mark on each project he undertakes.
